I'm a little nervous about the driving test. I'm mostly afraid I'll do something really, really dumb that I would never do otherwise in a million years. We should really get out and get some parking practice in tonight, as I need to keep working on that. I've gotten the parallel down, for the most part, but backing into spaces is not so great yet.
I've been holding off on the weight studio membership for two reasons, both of them car-related. First of all, I want to make sure that I can get there under my own steam, rather than having to wait for someone else to drive me. Secondly, until I know for sure how much my auto insurance is going to be, I have no idea if I can afford the membership or not.
My attitude towards food the last couple of days has been interesting. I've been eating "to the numbers", mostly, seeing it just as fuel and fuel alone. I can't really taste anything, and I haven't really felt like cooking, so I've just been eating a jumbled mixture of stuff, rather than actual meals. Case in point: I needed a few more grams of protein, so I figured out how much chicken that would be and just ate the chicken. I got everything in, but I was grazing more than anything else.
The one thing I'm splurging on right now is diet ginger ale. When I've got a cold, I've always found that the bubbles of a carbonated beverage help clear things out, and the ginger always makes me feel better, too. This is the first cold I've had without my 2L-a-day Diet Pepsi habit, so it took me a little while to figure out what I was missing.
By the way, if you have a cold, you might want to think twice about mindlessly popping cough drops. Halls Fruit Breezers, the Cool Berry variety, are 0.3 points each. That's not a lot, but if you don't keep track of it, that's 2.4 points per package you might be adding without thinking of it. I have no idea about other varieties, but these ones had the nutritional info on the package.
Frank was down again this morning. I think I might just hit my WW 10% this week, but I won't be able to stay for the meeting. (I'm not even sure if I'll get to the meeting, since my drivers ed test is at 9:30 AM, and the appointment for the road test is at 10:30 AM.)
I just realized that the space between each of the markings on this ticker is about 15 lbs. When I look at how much it has moved since I started, I get all warm and fuzzy. :)
