Got my 10% award this morning, plus my 30-lb ribbon. Met a few new people at the meeting and generally had a good time. I'm surprised I'm not more excited about the 10%. I think it might be because I've made it to that point before, then turned around and gained it all back. I'm pretty confident that's not going to happen this time, but I guess I'm waiting for a different milestone to get excited about.
After the meeting, I went to the gym for my orientation. They start us off slow. Today was an introduction to the weight machines, and when I go on Wednesday for my second appointment, we'll do the cardio boards as well. I had a brainflash this morning when I realized that the "circuit training" in my software was exactly what I'd be doing. So it should be pretty easy to log the exercise into the computer.
We took my measurements and weighed me, and set all my "starting-point" weights. I'm going to be a little bit sore tomorrow, I think, but it's a good kind of sore. I really think I'm going to like it there. One thing that was really neat was that the girls I was talking to last night told Helen (the one I worked with today) that I was doing my own program and seeing great results, so she was pumped to hear what I was doing. I was a little afraid that they'd try to push their program on me, so I can't tell you how pleased I am that they aren't.
Things are going well. I'm sure that there will always be days that aren't going so well, but today isn't one of them. :)
