I don't like leaving my readers hanging on a bad note, so I just thought I'd check in.
Yesterday I stayed away from the apple turnovers and by the end of the day, I didn't even need to use any flex points. Basically, I pouted for about fifteen minutes, then picked up where I'd left off.
This morning, the scale shows that one pound of the unexplained blip is gone. so I'm sure it'll work itself out.
In other news ...
I'm pleasantly surprised to see that many fast food chains have done away with the nutritional charts online (you know, the ones you have to squint to see and you're forever counting rows to make sure you're looking at the right one?). The latest and greatest thing seems to be the "nutrition calculator", where you plug in what you plan to eat (or have eaten, I suppose) and it gives you the nutri info for just those items and then totals it up for you. Very convenient. I discovered the one at Micky D's last week, when I went for my bacon ranch grilled chicken salad (minus the ranch), but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's become a trend. Makes planning for such things so much easier. (I think sometime around September 1st, I'll have a Baby Burger with Cheese, Onion Rings and a Regular Diet Root Beer at A&W. I can work 19 points in once in a while.)
Anyway, I'm off. Need to fill my water bottle.
