... and I've already learned something. There isn't a standard conversion factor for converting IUs to mg when you're dealing with vitamins. Why was it vital that I figure it out at this crazy hour, you ask? Well, I had to enter my brand-spankin-new vitamins into my legendary software, of course! Anyway, if you ever need to convert IUs of Vitamins A, D, and/or E, go here: EAS Vitamin Chart. It also includes Recommended Daily Allowances (RDAs) for a number of things, in both units.
Speaking of my vitamins ... For years, I have been torn between the general need to take a multivitamin (especially when trying to lose weight) and dealing with my gag reflex. The smell of most multivitamins makes me nauseous. Well, the other night when I was watching CNN, there was an ad for One-a-Day WeightSmart. I decided that a) I really should be taking something and b) taking something geared to those trying to lose weight might not be a bad idea. Well, you know what? I just opened up the package and did not instantly keel over. They're still the size of footballs, but they're a pretty green colour, and they actually smell almost pleasant. I think it must be the green tea extract.
So, I guess that's my bit of education and unpaid product endorsement for today. :)
